    Now you'll have access to over 15,000 surcharge-free ATMs coast-to-coast. Minnwest's MasterCard ATM/Debit Card is part of the MoneyPass network. You'll find MoneyPass ATMs at the most convenient places...banks, credit unions, convenience stores, restaurants, discount retailers, and more, as well as at most Minnwest offices. You'll be able to handle many banking transactions at MoneyPass ATMs including withdrawals, transfers, balance inquiries and more. Just go to www.moneypass.com to find the ATM most convenient for you. You'll also have access to the MasterCard (CIRRUS) Network in the U.S. and internationally as well as PLUS/Discover/AmEx/VISA (fees apply).

  2. A DEBIT CARD
    Use your card instead of a check. So easy to carry, so simple to use. Minnwest's MasterCard ATM/Debit Card is perfect for everyday and special purchases instead of a check. Just present it at the time of purchase wherever MasterCard is accepted and the amount will be deducted from your checking account. Every transaction is detailed on your checking account statement. (To protect against prevalent fraud using Point of Sale (POS) transactions in certain foreign countries, your debit card can only be used abroad at ATM machines. However, should you want to enable POS transactions on your debit card for limited periods of time while traveling abroad you may do so by contacting your bank representative.)

  3. A PIN DEBIT CARD
    Get cash back when you make a purchase. Enjoy a great new feature of Minnwest's MasterCard ATM/Debit Card. Now you can get cash back when you make a debit card purchase using your PIN number at a participating MasterCard merchant. That's over 700,000 retailers! You'll need to use your Personal Identification Number (PIN) to complete the transaction and your funds will be withdrawn from your Minnwest checking account. What a quick, easy, and FREE method if you are short of cash.

ATM/Debit Card Fraud Protection Service

To protect your account, Minnwest Bank provides an ATM/ Debit Card Fraud Protection service that monitors your card transactions and assesses the likelihood of fraud on your account.  Potential fraudulent activity may include a sudden change in locale, a sudden string of purchases out of the norm, or any pattern associated with new fraud trends around the world.  If uncharacteristic activity occurs, you will receive an automated call asking you to verify recent transactions and to accept or refute those transactions as follows:

  • Our automated call will ask you to verify recent transactions on your card
  • You will be asked to verify your identity
  • You will be able to respond via your touch-tone keypad
  • You will also be provided a toll-free number to call should you have additional questions

Your participation in responding is critical to prevent potential risk and the impact of any fraud.

You do not need to sign up for this service but you do need to keep us informed of your correct phone number to ensure we can reach you whenever potential fraud is detected.  To provide your phone number, contact your Minnwest Bank Office or provide your name and telephone number using our Secure Email Message Center at:  Contact Us

MasterCard SecureCode

MasterCard SecureCode is a simple and secure way to pay at thousands of online stores. Cardholders will need to activate the FREE protection service by creating their very own SecureCode password. MasterCard SecureCode helps guard against unauthorized use of the debit card on the Internet. SecureCode verifies the cardholder's identity when the shopper makes purchases at participating online merchants. To register your MasterCard ATM/Debit Card, select your institution from the list below.

Online Statements: Safe and Environmentally Friendly

Sign on to the convenience of Online Statements. They are available for all Minnwest checking and savings accounts. Here are just some of the advantages to switching to Online Statements:

  • Receive them two to three days sooner than paper statements.
  • Email notification alerts you when a new statement is available.
  • Reduce the risk of mail fraud and identity theft from mailed paper statements.
  • View, download and print up to 12 months of statements.
  • Online Statements are saved as PDFs that can be accessed, saved, and printed as needed.
  • Online Statements look and function just like paper statements.
  • Online Statements are FREE.
  • Online Statements are environmentally friendly.

To receive Online Statements, you'll need to enroll in Online Banking.

Direct Deposit

Save time and trips to the bank by having payroll and specified government checks automatically deposited into your checking account.  By using direct deposit, you are securing your checks from mail theft. 

Check Images

Check images are electronic images of your cancelled checks as well as withdrawal forms and deposit slips. The IRS considers them acceptable proof of payment as long as they show the check number, amount of check and payee's name. Check images is a safe and secure system because Minnwest Bank retains a permanent archive of your checks, withdrawals and deposits.  Should you need a copy of a cancelled check, we can provide you with one for a small fee.  Check images are available with your checking account statements.*  If you use Minnwest's Online Banking, you'll find your check images there, too. In fact, you can find both front and back of your cancelled checks online.
